DemoDay
DemoDay gives first-year high school students a taste of higher education studies in the field of technology.
This unique event concept in Finland allows students to explore various laboratory and research spaces in Turku University of Applied Sciences, University of Turku, Åbo Akademi, and Yrkeshögskolan Novia through demo workshops. The goal is to inspire high school students to pursue studies in technology, natural sciences, and health sciences.
The demo selection has included Åbo Akademi’s interactive physics show, exploring KITSAT mini-satellites at the University of Turku, testing ship simulators at Yrkeshögskolan Novia, and visiting the health technology lab at Turku University of Applied Sciences.
DemoDay began in 2022. The universities of the Tech Campus network organize the DemoDay event annually in collaboration with STEAM Turku. The next DemoDay will take place in spring 2025.
