The TechCampus Turku promotes technology education and research in the four higher education institutions of Turku, i.e. the University of Turku, Åbo Akademi University, Turku University of Applied Sciences and Novia University of Applied Sciences. At the same time, the campus unites the resources of the higher education institutions to support the product development and innovation activities of the local companies.

The higher education institutions of Turku produce Doctors and Masters of Science in Technology, Bachelors of Technology, Bachelors of Science and professionals in the maritime field to fulfil the growing future needs in the area. The goal of the TechCampus is to create a strong and wide centre of technical expertise in Turku to promote the competitiveness of Southwest Finland and the development of the region’s companies in the long run.

In a nutshell, TechCampus’ main tasks in terms of the four institutions of higher education are to:

1. combine the technological research and education infrastructures,
2. increase co-operation in technical education,
3. create and maintain a joint strategy for technological research, and
4. increase the attractiveness and co-operation of technology in the area.

The contracting parties of the TechCampus Turku are University of Turku, Åbo Akademi University, Turku University of Applied Sciences, Novia University of Applied Sciences, City of Turku, and Turku Science Park Ltd.
