Makers´ Studio is a shared experimental space for university students, with group work and project space, materials, tools and equipment for prototyping. Students have access to a laser cutter, a 3D printer and an embroidery machine, among other things. The premises offer a low-threshold environment for large and small projects, whether they are related to studies, hobbies or thesis and dissertation work.

Mechanical engineering student Anna Salmela repairs her laptop with tools borrowed from
Makers´ Studio.

Students of the University of Turku, Turku University of Applied Sciences, Åbo Akademi University and Yrkeshögskola Novia can use Makers´ Studio free of charge. If you are using the premises for the first time, please contact project manager Kaapo Seppälä, to arrange an appointment for a training and safety tour. After the tour, you will receive an acces pass to enter the space in the future. For questions about equipment, please contact laboratory technician Peter Virta.

Makers´ Studio is located on the sixth floor of the b-wing of ICT-City building (Joukahaisenkatu 3) in Kupittaa.
